Miss KTB Fashion prides itself in delivering excellent quality and attention to detail, we have used this ethos as the foundation for our brand. Started in 2013 Katelyn Barkhuizen has grown her brand, perfecting her skills while creating a diverse range from lifestyle athleisure to high fashion couture, Miss KTB is a brand which is poised to cut across the vast discrepancy which exists between unrealistic high-end designer haute couture and everyday retail chain bargain bin clothing.
2020 Saw an opportunity in the online clothing market, initially sparked by the making of covid-19 masks, that quickly grew to creating an online boutique range while still focusing on couture dresses for all occasions including wedding dresses. During this process Katelyn has complied a team of hard working woman who have the same passion to deliver high quality clothing products made by South African women, for South African woman.
Born in Johannesburg, which is situated in the province of Gauteng in South Africa - Katelyn first realised her love for fashion in grade 10 at Cornwall College where, at an influential period of identity in her life quickly sparked a passion for fashion: “I found fashion a perfect medium to express my emotions and became a positive outlet for my personality." Katelyn then pursued her love for fashion while studying her Bachelor of Fashion NQF Level 7 Degree at Spero Villioti Elite Design Academy.
Katelyn's accolades include the most improved designer in the class of 2015 and went on to finish in the top of her class for 2016. Katelyn's love for fashion exceeds just design. She has also walked for Mercedes Fashion Week and Nigeria Fashion week as a model, she is also a brand influencer. Her success in the modeling industry comes down to accepting herself in her own eyes and firmly believes that destiny will take her places.
